We are looking for a proactive and versatile Marcomms associate to support our marketing and communications efforts, from managing social media channels and creating engaging content to organising impactful events and webinars. In this role, you will ensure consistent branding, support the delivery of our acceleration curriculum, and maintain strong engagement with our startup community while tracking their progress. You will also play a enhancing IoT Tribe’s visibility at ecosystem events. This position reports directly to the Head of Partnerships, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful programmes and make a meaningful difference within our team.
Responsibilities
The duties of this role will be varied and align with the needs of our ongoing accelerator programme, with opportunities to contribute to other initiatives. In this position, you will:
- Manage day-to-day marketing efforts for the accelerator programme, ensuring all messaging aligns with branding standards and resonates with target audiences.
- Create and distribute high-quality, engaging content such as media releases, articles, newsletters, and public profiles to showcase programme success.
- Oversee and curate content across our social media channels, ensuring it remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with the accelerator’s objectives.
- Update and maintain our website with fresh content, including event listings, blogs, and programme updates.
- Monitor and report on social media performance, identifying trends and insights to refine content strategy and enhance engagement with our ecosystem.
- Lead the logistics and organisation of programme-related webinars, workshops, and in-person events, including sourcing speakers, securing sponsorships, and ensuring successful attendee registration.
- Provide support for additional ad-hoc activities related to the accelerator and other organisational initiatives as needed.
Skills, qualifications and experience
We are looking for a creative and driven individual who has a track record of turning possibilities into tangible outcomes.
- Curious about new technologies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant work experience including marketing, events coordination and driving engagement with external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated: it is important that you can organise and prioritise your own workload and successfully complete assigned tasks on time in a guided but autonomous way
- A team player: you are able to work collaboratively in a team
- An excellent communicator: you know how to create attractive presentations and write compelling emails ensuring that they are grammar and spell checked.
- Digitally literate: you feel comfortable using new computer applications and tools relevant to your role. For example, we use Hootsuite, Canva, Zoom, WordPress.
- You will also be a firm believer that anyone can play a valuable role in technology and will strive to make sure that communications in any format are inclusive and invite diversity.
