We are looking for a proactive and versatile Marcomms associate to support our marketing and communications efforts, from managing social media channels and creating engaging content to organising impactful events and webinars. In this role, you will ensure consistent branding, support the delivery of our acceleration curriculum, and maintain strong engagement with our startup community while tracking their progress. You will also play a enhancing IoT Tribe’s visibility at ecosystem events. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative programmes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About the role

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity where you will lead IoT Tribe’s strategic alliances to reinforce accelerator operations in the UK, engaging with leading corporates, public agencies and other technology stakeholders across a variety of industries.

The Head of Partnerships role is ideal for a resourceful and highly driven individual who is aspiring to take on leadership in securing high/impact partnerships and can effectively navigate across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.

If you are a results-oriented with a passion for technology and have a proven track record in securing high-value sales and partnerships with C-level decision makers in leading corporates, this role will allow you to make a significant impact. You also understand technology and its critical role in shaping business strategy.

This role reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be given significant and unique responsibility, working closely with the CEO to draft the sales strategy and build compelling narratives for securing corporate and public sector partnerships. Responsibilities include:

Strategic Planning
  • Developing a relevant strategic partnerships pipeline
  • Expanding our reach, impact and market
Business Development
  • Identifying, building relationships and driving engagement with leading corporates and public agencies which are looking to be at the forefront of technological adoption and disruption
  • Leading negotiation process with clients to secure commercial and non-commercial partnerships
  • Understanding client needs and crystalising benefits of partnering with IoT Tribe
  • Preparing appealing presentation decks and proposals for clients
Ecosystem Development & Engagement
  • Developing relationships with the emerging technologies and start-up ecosystem, including the investment community, R&D and universities, government agencies, associations and more
  • Organising key high-profile ecosystem events that can showcase IoT Tribe and our start-ups
  • Representing IoT Tribe, speaking or participating at relevant ecosystem events.
  • Helping to design and deliver hackathons.
Accelerator Operations
  • Refining the inbound and outbound accelerator programmes
  • Helping to identify external suppliers and contractors that will deliver or key parts of the programme
  • Expanding and managing the network of mentors and ensure they are providing value to the start-ups and feel valued themselves
  • One day a week will be spent on corporate product development

 

Skills, qualifications and experience

We are looking for a dependable and driven individual who has a track record in corporate business development and leading accelerator programme. You must have a strong appreciation and passion for IoT Tribe’s vision, with a strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

  • Degree graduate with at least 10 years’ experience in corporate business development and consultative sales
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to engage and interact with C-level decision makers from a wide variety of industries and the public sector
  • Demonstrated track record in closing complex sales cycles and securing commercial contracts with corporates
  • Demonstrable experience in launching new products/services and achieving growth
  • Strong business acumen, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • Broad understanding of the technology landscape and how key enabling technologies can be adopted by corporates
  • Passionate about technology and constantly keeping abreast with the latest industry developments and market opportunities
  • Ability to clearly articulate solutions that aligns with client needs
  • Consultative and collaborate effectively with team members and external parties
  • Ability to analyse and identify problems and opportunities objectively
  • Extensive network of contacts within the corporate technology & innovation ecosystem
You are also required to:
  • Take your share of responsibility in delivering the culture agenda and setting the bar high with the quality of work
  • Think in the future, anticipate trends and opportunities and regularly link in with the tech ecosystem
  • Take ownership of performance outcomes
  • Travel occasionally
